Leading politicians from the major political parties and business leaders were welcomed by Rainey Collins Partner and Chairman of the Wellington Maori Business Network, Peter Johnston to a debate on Maori and Business held in Wellington.

The function was hosted by the Wellington Maori Business Network, Te Awe, in conjunction with Business New Zealand and the Business Round Table.  The speakers were Hon Pete Hodgson (Labour), John Key (National), Pita Paraone (NZ First), Hon Jim Anderton (Progressive Party), Murray Smith (United), Metiria Turei (Green Party), and Professor Whatarangi Winiata (Maori Party).  The ACT representative (Stephen Franks) was a late withdrawl due to a bereavement.

Over ninety business leaders attended this successful event, which was chaired by Rob McLeod from the Business Round Table.
