In this case the insured had his insurance claim for damage to his house declined after he discovered that his house had been contaminated by his son and friends smoking meth at the property.  Unfortunately for the insured this had occurred over a period of five months, on multiple occasions.  The policy provided cover for “sudden” damage and as the damage had occurred on multiple occasions, over a long period of time, the insurer was able to decline the claim because of the lack of “sudden” damage.
