The Teachers Disciplinary Tribunal has deregistered a teacher who on several occasions swore at students to the extent of making the class feel unsafe in his presence.

The teacher failed to take any part in the disciplinary process to explain why he acted as he did and advised that he was giving up teaching.

Deregistration was really the only option, but the door was left open for the teacher to reapply and explain his actions should he ever decide he wanted to return to teaching.
