A teacher facing allegations of accessing pornographic material on his school computer was suspended for three months in December 2013, pending the hearing of the allegations.

In March this was extended for a further three months.  The charges have still not been heard.

In June 2014 the Complaints Assessment Committee sought a further three month extension as the teacher has now been charged with criminal offenses and the CAC considered those should be dealt with before the disciplinary hearing.

The Chairman of the Tribunal had expressed concerns at the delays and extensions of the suspension without any hearing but granted the order when the teacher declined the opportunity to be heard in person on the further suspension.
