The Teachers Disciplinary Tribunal has found a female teacher guilty of serious misconduct for inappropriate behaviour with a male student including texting, hugging, kissing, discussing personal matters, and allowing the student to board at her home.

The teacher had in effect been suspended for three years leading up to the hearing of the charges, so the Tribunal did not impose a further suspension, but required her to inform prospective employers of the findings, and arrange a supervision and guidance programme as approved by the Teachers Council.

She was also banned from having students live at her home.
