Teacher downloads porn to his school laptop during class time…
The Teachers’ Disciplinary Tribunal (in a split decision) has decided not to deregister a teacher who it found had downloaded porn during class time.
Instead of deregistration the teacher was censured and had his practicing certificate suspended for three years.
He will not be able to regain a practicing certificate until he satisfies the Teachers’ Council with a psychiatric or psychological report that he has overcome whatever psychological problems led to his actions.
