The Teachers Disciplinary Tribunal has found a teacher guilty of pinching, grabbing, and yelling at students in her class.  The teacher was very remorseful, admitted the facts, resigned her position and advised that she would not return to teaching.

The Tribunal found her guilty of serious misconduct and imposed conditions on her if she did seek to return to teaching.

She must notify any prospective employer of the decision and give them a copy of the findings, and have a mentor approved by the Teachers Council.

The Tribunal took into account that the teacher had suffered significant personal stressors at the time of the incidents, including family bereavement and illness, plus her acceptance of the allegations and genuine remorse.
