The Teachers’ Disciplinary Tribunal has found a female teacher guilty of grooming a young student for an intimate relationship. The teacher met with the student out of school, at the beach and her home, sent hundreds of inappropriate text messages, and touched the student on the hips at her home.
The behaviour of the teacher was so far outside the bounds of proper conduct that there was no alternative but to deregister the teacher.
