The Teachers’ Disciplinary Tribunal has found a teacher guilty of serious misconduct for falsifying records to show that more students were enrolled than was true, and that the teacher had worked during periods she was overseas on leave.

The Tribunal decided to censure the teacher and ban her from managerial positions for five years unless she first undergoes an approved course on managerial responsibility relating to accounting, legal and ethical requirements of school leadership.

She also has to satisfy the Teachers’ Council that she understands those responsibilities sufficiently to carry out managerial roles.
