The Teachers Disciplinary Tribunal in a recent case has warned teachers that they have no right to silence when facing disciplinary allegations and have a duty to cooperate at all stages with the investigation.
Teachers electing not to give evidence in the future may find themselves subject to adverse inferences being drawn by the Tribunal, regarding the failure to give evidence, as they should be aware of their obligations to cooperate with the investigation.
