Doctor censured for altering patient records...
The Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal has censured a doctor and put conditions on his practice after finding him guilty of altering medical records for financial gain. This related to the re-registration of patients who no longer lived in New Zealand.
The doctor was ordered to undertake training on record management and to advise any employers of the decision and orders. He was also banned from any involvement in management of a medical practice for three years.
