The Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal has censured a pharmacist and imposed conditions on her practice after she forged prescriptions and presented the false prescriptions to obtain drugs.

Conditions were placed on the pharmacist’s practice that if she is to recommence practice she is to undergo a review of her fitness to practice carried out by the Pharmacy Council.  She may only practice as an employee within a practice approved by the Pharmacy Council for 12 months and she may not operate as a sole charge pharmacist or manager of a pharmacy for 12 months.

These conditions are considered necessary for the protection of the public given the behaviour of the pharmacist.
