Our Chair of Partners Peter Johnston was privileged to recently attend a breakfast at Parliament hosted by Barbara Edmonds, MP for Mana to celebrate 60 years of providing Riding for the Disabled (NZRDA) in New Zealand.

As chairman of the NZRDA, Peter delivered a speech where he thanked the unsung amazing volunteers for their dedication, commitment and compassion and paid tribute to the riders and their whānau for their inspiring efforts and achievements. Peter also thanked Hon Poto Williams, the Minister for Disability issues for opening the celebration and for her kind words of support.

Peter noted his heartfelt appreciation to all of the people and organisations who kindly make donations to help NZRDA to reach more riders and change more lives. This included noting the generous support and assistance provided by the Lyndsay Foundation.

Peter is honoured to Chair NZRDA.  During 2021 NZRDA had 52 Groups from Invercargill to Kaitāia providing just over 43,000 therapeutic ride sessions to over 3,000 riders.
