Claire is the Partner leading the Business, Property and Personal Legal Services Team, and is the Managing Partner of the firm. 

She focusses on assisting clients with opportunities and challenges in relation to Commercial contracts and transactions, including:

• Joint Ventures;
• Limited Partnerships;
• Company advice and structuring;
• Shareholders’ Agreements;
• Buying and selling Businesses, and
• Leases.

Also experienced in Residential and Commercial Property, Claire often advises Bodies Corporate regarding unit title issues.

Claire’s other areas of specialty and interest include:

• Trusts;
• Asset Protection;
• Wills and Estates;
• Providing advice to charities and other not for profit entities;
• Advising iwi regarding post Treaty of Waitangi settlement entities; and
• Māori land law, including succession of Māori land.

Claire is also approved by the Property Law Section of the Law Society as an experienced property lawyer available for appointment in relation to determinations relating to compensation disputes under the Agreement for Sale and Purchase.

Approachable and friendly, Claire always tries to find practical solutions for clients.

Born and raised in Whanganui, she studied at Victoria University for her Law degree and also completed a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Japanese.

Claire enjoys spending time with her family and friends.  She has a keen interest in the Japanese language and enjoys experiencing different cultures.
