Teacher’s registration cancelled after sexual grooming and sexual conduct with a child…
The Teachers Disciplinary Tribunal censured and cancelled a teacher’s registration after the teacher pleaded guilty to sexually grooming a young person and meeting with them, and to two charges of sexual misconduct with a child under 12 years of age.
The teacher was sentenced to 8 months imprisonment and 6 month post detention conditions, and was granted permanent name suppression by the Court. The teacher agreed that cancellation of his registration was needed in order to protect the public and uphold the integrity of the teaching profession.
