Teacher’s registration cancelled after he manhandles disobedient students…

A year 3 and 4 teacher has been charged with serious misconduct after the Teachers Council received a mandatory report from the school’s principal regarding his inappropriate behaviour.

The teacher regularly yelled at, and was verbally aggressive with, his students who misbehaved. On three different occasions the teacher used physical force against  students by grabbing, pulling, and pushing them. The teacher has since resigned from his position.

The Teachers Disciplinary Tribunal ordered the censure and deregistration of the teacher. The teacher also agreed to pay 50 per cent of the investigation and prosecution costs, which amounted to over $1,000.
