Rainey Collins was proud to again sponsor ‘Nati Awards’ at the recent Te Rangitawaea Festival held at Uepohatu Marae, Ruatoria.  The awards sponsored by Rainey Collins were for Best Actress, Best Actor and Best Script.

The festival is a celebration of the unique creative and innovative ICT (Information & Communications Technology)/digital media achievements of schools throughout the Ngati Porou East Coast community. The kaupapa or topic for this 10th anniversary festival was “Nga Taonga Tuku Iho – Treasures of our Ancestors”.
Over 500 entries including movies, waiata (songs), animations and photographs were received from competing schools.

The Nati Award Best Actress went to Ngata Memorial College, the Nati Award Best Actor went to Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Nga Taonga Tuturu and the Nati Award Best Script went to Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Kawakawa Mai Tawhiti.
