Rainey Collins partner re-elected as president of the Employment Law Institute of New Zealand at 2011 AGM

Rainey Collins partner Alan Knowsley has been re-elected as President of the Employment Law Institute of New Zealand at the 2011 AGM.  In his report to the AGM Alan thanked the hard working committee for all of their efforts during the year and commented on the activities of the Institute such as making submissions to the Government on the Employment Relations Act changes, to the Employment Court on its processes and dealing with various complaints against members.  The Institute also held very successful Chief Judge’s lunches in Auckland and Wellington where Chief Judge Graeme Colgan outlined issues of importance to lawyers and advocates bringing claims to the Employment Relations Authority and Court.
