Rainey Collins Partner Re-Elected as President of ANZELA

Partner Alan Knowsley was reelected as President of the Australia New Zealand Education Law Association (New Zealand Chapter) at the AGM held on 18 November 2010.  Alan also continues as a Director of the company that incorporates the chapters from New Zealand and the various states of Australia.

In his President’s report Alan covered the year’s activities of the association including the very successful series of seminars* on the relationship between School Boards and Principals and how to carry out investigations of misconduct.

*The seminars had been held in the main centres in May and October and were very well attended by teachers, academics, principals, lawyers and organisations such as the Ministry of Education, PPTA and School Trustees Association.  The seminars are discounted for members.
