New Solicitor General Praised by Rainey Collins’ Chairman

New Solicitor General Dr David Collins QC has been praised by Rainey Collins’ Chairman James Johnston at a recent ceremony held at the Crown Law Office in Wellington.  Dr Collins, who is a former Partner of Rainey Collins, has been appointed to the role of Solicitor General and Chief Executive of the Crown Law Office.

Speaking at Dr Collins’ welcoming ceremony, James Johnston spoke of Dr Collins’ long association with the firm and of his many qualities which will hold him in good stead for his new office.

The ceremony was well attended by family, friends and professional colleagues of Dr Collins as well as employees of the Crown Law Office.

The Solicitor General is the Government’s Chief Legal Advisor and is also Chief Advocate for the Government in the Courts, in particular the Supreme Court.
