Mr Richard Gray (Dick) Collins

We are saddened to report the passing of Mr Richard Gray (Dick) Collins on 16 August 2007.  Dick Collins was a highly respected and distinguished former partner of Rainey Collins and son of founding partner, Mr Richard Collins.

In addition to his role as a partner of Rainey Collins and amongst his vast accomplishments, Dick was also a former board member of the Broadcasting Corporation, Chairman of TV One, President of the Wellington District Law Society, Chairman of the New Zealand Law Society Disciplinary Committee, Vice-President of the New Zealand Law Society, board member of the New Zealand Inventions Development Authority, President of the Wellington Medico-Legal Society, chaired the Accountants’ Disciplinary Tribunal, was a Racing Conference Appeal Judge, member of the Community Law Services Committee, chaired the War Pensions Board and was a Trustee of the Crown Forestry Rental Trust.  He was made CBE in 1987.

Dick was 85 and is survived by his wife, Barbara and their four children.
