Failure to report accidents leads to substantial fines…

A freight company has been fined over $60,000 for failing to report workplace accidents.

The Department of Labour (now the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment) was investigating another incident and discovered evidence of several unreported injury accidents. The company should have reported the accidents as soon as they happened and followed up with written notice.
