This year’s camp was held for a week at Hastings in January and partner Alan Knowsley was once again one of the volunteer staff looking after the 70 children (aged 5-13).  Run annually, the Camp is designed to give children living with cancer time away in a camp environment as well as provide valuable respite care for their families. Alan had the privilege of putting together the programme of entertainment for the kids, which included a day at the Splash Planet fun park for water fun, a visit to a farm yard zoo and sheep station, visits by the fire brigade and police plus rides in rally cars, hot rods and stingrays. The children also had lots of time for arts and crafts and rock climbing as well as a magician. Rainey Collins is proud to be a supporter of the kids through Camp Quality. www.campquality.org.nz
