The partners and staff recently celebrated the 20 year anniversary of James Johnston becoming a partner of the firm. James joined the firm as a solicitor in 1989 and became a partner on 1 January 1993. In that time James has been involved in many ground breaking and high profile hearings in Courts throughout New Zealand as well as the Privy Council. He has also presented, on behalf of the New Zealand Government, at the United Nations and has been chair of the New Zealand Law Foundation. James spoke in reply and reaffirmed his enjoyment of working at the firm and serving many clients over those years and being a guardian of the firm’s long and proud heritage since it was established in 1919.
