A two year old sustained multiple leg fractures after getting snagged on a protruding bolt on a spinning piece of equipment on the “fun” ride.

The amusement ride owner was fined $40,000 and ordered to pay $37,000 reparation.

It should have ensured modifications did not result in a protruding bolt.  It should not have operated the ride until examined by an engineer and should have imposed minimum age (6 years) and height (1.2m) requirements on users.
