A teacher has had his registration cancelled after he engaged in inappropriate conduct with a 13 year old female student including prolific texting, texts of a personal nature and lengthy late night phone calls.

The conduct had become known to senior staff and the teacher was told to have no contact with the student outside of his teaching duties.  However, he continued to contact the student with more inappropriate texts.

The Tribunal found that the behaviour amounted to serious misconduct and that the teacher’s registration should be cancelled.
