The Teachers Disciplinary Tribunal has censured and cancelled the registration of a teacher who engaged in serious misconduct.

The teacher engaged in prolific emailing with two students, late at night. The emails were of a personal nature, and encouraged the students to be emotionally dependent on him.

The teacher also had a sexual relationship with one of the students, who was in Year 12 at the time and which continued after she left school.

The teacher had previously received a written warning from the Principal at the school for his perceived closeness to a group of Year 13 students.
