The teacher was convicted in 2006 of driving with excess blood alcohol and then again convicted of the same offence in 2015.  In 2015 he was also convicted of driving while disqualified.

The Tribunal decided it would not deregister the teacher but instead imposed conditions for three years that the teacher notify any employer of the convictions and these orders and satisfy the Education Council that he is meeting the requirements of the Practising Teachers Criteria.
