School Principals meet to discuss Health & Safety in Schools

Partner Alan Knowsley met recently with over 30 School Principals from Southland and Otago to talk about the specific H&S issues facing schools and the duties and liabilities of school boards, principals, staff and visitors.

Alan used recent real life examples of problems in schools to illustrate the issues and get debate going on how to identify risks and manage those by eliminating the hazard or minimising the risk. The seminar was sponsored by the Southland Primary Principals Association in conjunction with the Australia New Zealand Education Law Association and NZ Schools Trustees Association.
