The Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal has struck off a midwife who wrote multiple prescriptions for painkillers under false patient names and then claimed the drugs from pharmacies for her own use.
The Tribunal concluded that nothing short of striking off would protect the public from the midwife’s behaviour and that she remained at serious risk of reoffending.
