A director of a company that signed customers up for goods but never supplied the products has been sentenced to two years jail by the District Court in Auckland.  The director used the money from over 300 customers to support their lifestyle rather than in supplying the products bought.  The Judge commented that this was a particularly bad example of “ripping off” customers and a stern example had to be set to deter others from similar actions.
