A teacher who falsified her and other staff time records, so that inflated claims for payment could be made to the Ministry of Education has been censured by the Teachers Disciplinary Tribunal. The Tribunal found that the conduct amounted to serious misconduct (which was accepted by the teacher).

As well as the censure the Tribunal banned the teacher from holding any management position in an education setting for four years.

She must also undergo a professional development course on administrative accounting together with legal and ethical management and advise any prospective employer of the Tribunal findings for five years.
