The Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal has suspended a physio after he was convicted of 3 charges of forgery and 3 charges of dishonestly using a document.

He was convicted and sentenced to 11 months home detention after he forged documents submitted with bank loan applications. The documents were altered to reduce his other borrowings, increase his income and show higher balances in his accounts. He dishonestly obtained over $1.5million in loans.

The Tribunal found that the convictions reflected adversely on his fitness to practice. It suspended him for 9 months as well as imposing a censure and ordering him to undergo a course on ethics.
