We are pleased to advise that Partner Alan Knowsley has recently been elected as Deputy Chair of Camp Quality New Zealand. Camp Quality provides fun, hope and happiness to children living with cancer. Usually this involves annual summer and winter camps, filled with fun activities put on for the children.

All adults on camp are volunteers, freely giving their time to ensure the kids have a wonderful experience and learn new skills while forgetting about cancer and all they have to deal with on a day to day basis. The camps also provide a respite for parents, so they can relax with the rest of their family, while their child is being looked after.

Unfortunately, in this last year the camps have not been able to proceed physically due to covid, but that has not stopped Camp Quality still providing lots of fun through Camp in a Box, which saw every child receive a box of games, activities and treats to brighten their camp week, even though they were not physically on camp. Volunteers, including Alan, also ran activities via zoom for the kids on a daily basis, so they could catch up with others and have fun together in an online environment. If you want to know what activity Alan ran for the kids drop him an email at aknowsley@raineycollins.co.nz
