The Employment Relations Authority has found in favour of a union on behalf of their members, in a dispute against their employer. The employees had been transferred from one area of the business to another in an earlier restructure due to the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The ERA held that these employees had priority to retain their positions in the event that future restructures and redundancies occurred due to the wording of their employment agreement that set out how the redundancy process should occur for them.
