Kirsten is a Special Counsel in our Business & Personal Legal Services Team. She assists clients with Commercial contracts and transactions, including Joint Ventures, Limited Partnerships, Company advice and structuring, Shareholders’ Agreements, share issues and buying and selling Businesses. She has special expertise in the area of Intellectual Property, franchising and licensing.

Kirsten’s other areas of specialty and interest include providing advice to charities and other not-for-profit entities, as well as advising iwi regarding post Treaty of Waitangi settlement entities.

Kirsten’s approach to working with clients is to keep them well informed and up to date with what is happening in clear and simple language.

Born and raised in Wellington, Kirsten studied at Victoria University for her Law Honours degree and also completed a Bachelor of Arts with Honours majoring in English and Art History.

She has a keen interest in highland dancing, having been a past New Zealand champion. She now enjoys teaching highland dancing and being involved with the national governing body as its current President.  Kirsten enjoys spending her spare time with her four young children and her partner who is of Ngapuhi descent.
