Christian is a Solicitor in the Dispute Resolution and Litigation Team and is involved in a wide range of areas including employment, family, debt collection, alcohol licencing, privacy, construction and general litigation. 

He provides advice on areas of employment law to both employers and employees including personal grievances, employment agreements, performance issues, misconduct investigations, restructuring and redundancy.

Family law matters he advises on include relationship property, separation, care of children, guardianship disputes and contracting out agreements. 

Christian has specialist knowledge of privacy law, providing a broad range of expert privacy law advice to commercial entities and individuals, including in relation to Privacy Act compliance, access and correction requests, privacy breaches, notification requirements, policy, and legal compliance.  Christian also offers focused training to clients about the Privacy Act 2020, the Information Privacy Principles, and to ensure compliance with the Act when undertaking business activities.  In addition, Christian conducts privacy compliance audits to assess and strengthen clients’ privacy systems and processes.

In his spare time he enjoys outdoor adventure activities and travelling, plus spending time with family and friends.

Before joining Rainey Collins in 2019, Christian completed a science degree and a law degree at the University of Otago while working at a commercial leasing firm, and volunteering at the Community Law Centre.
