In Brief Newsletter Nominated for Plain English Award
The Rainey Collins Newsletters have been nominated for the People’s Choice award for best plain English document in the 2010 WriteMark Plain English Awards.
The Plain English Awards aim to:

Create a public preference for organisations that choose to communicate in plain English.

Raise public awareness of the need for, and benefits of, plain English.

Improve government and business documents so that all New Zealanders can understand them.
Hon Christopher Finlayson — Minister for Arts, Culture and Heritage; Minister for Treaty of Waitangi Negotiations; and Attorney-General — will host the 2010 Plain English Awards at Parliament on 3 September.
